The Sussex Secondary Schools Individual Championships is a Championship Competition in its own right. It is also used as a selection event for the Sussex team for the South East Division Inter-County Gala to be held 30th March in Guildford, which in-turn is used as a selection event for the South East Team for the National Inter-Divisional Championships to be held 28/29 June in Bristol.

This meet was licensed at level 3 (License No 3SE4367).
